A Beginner’s Guide To Chakra Balancing With Crystals

When I first learned about the chakras, I was intrigued. It seemed like a magical way to harness energy and bring balance to your body and mind. But as with anything new, there was a lot of information out there that was hard to understand.

So, I decided to create my own guide for beginners (like me!) who want to learn how chakra crystals work and how they can be used for healing purposes.

Takeaways
Incorporating crystals into your self-care routine can have many benefits for physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
Each chakra has corresponding gemstones that can be used to enhance its energy and promote balance.
Carnelian is a powerful crystal for sacral chakra healing that can help with creative blockages and sexual issues.
Amethyst is a popular crystal for third-eye chakra balancing, as it can help enhance intuition and spiritual growth.
Lapis lazuli is a powerful crystal for throat chakra healing that can help with communication and self-expression.
Learning about the chakras and the corresponding gemstones is a great way to start working with crystals.
There are many different ways to use chakra crystals, including wearing them as jewelry, carrying them in a pocket, or meditating with them.
Trusting your intuition when choosing which crystals to use is an essential part of the crystal healing process.

In this article, we’ll go through each of the seven chakras one by one so that you can have a better understanding of what each does and how best to use them when working towards achieving balance within yourself.

Cleansing And Balancing Your Crystals For Chakra Healing

Crystals are beautiful, but they need to be cleaned and charged before use.

To cleanse your crystals, hold them in your hand and visualize the color of the crystal being absorbed by your energy field.

Visualize it flowing through the top of your head and down through all seven chakras as you breathe, moving out of any fear or negativity that they may hold.

When you’re finished with this visualization, pat them dry with a soft cloth and allow them to rest overnight on a piece of black cloth before using again.

Before using crystals for chakra healing purposes, make sure that all seven chakras are balanced.

Your crown chakra represents who we are spiritually; our third eye is where intuition comes from; our heart is where unconditional love resides within us; our solar plexus governs personal power; our sexual organs govern sexuality itself (it’s also associated with creativity); finally, our root represents grounding ourselves into reality itself (you’ll often find this at the base of plants).

If any one of these doesn’t sound like something which applies directly to you then try another stone until it does!

It should feel similar enough so that when describing its qualities aloud it sounds familiar enough so that it feels natural when wearing/holding onto said object but also unique enough so that there’s no doubt which one belongs only within my own personal experience.”

First Chakra (Root Chakra)

The first chakra, or root chakra, is located at the base of your spine. It’s responsible for grounding you and keeping you connected to earth.

If this chakra is out of balance, it can make you feel anxious or disconnected from yourself and others around you. You can use crystals that are associated with earth energy to cleanse and balance your first chakra.

These crystals include black tourmaline, amber and hematite (black iron ore) as they’re often found in places where volcanoes once erupted (like Hawaii).

These minerals are known to help bring about a sense of calmness as well as provide protection against negative energies.

You can cleanse this area by placing one small crystal inside each shoe while wearing them for several hours throughout the day this will help clear away any excess energy that may have been built up around this area over time!

Second Chakra (Sacral Chakra)

The second chakra is also known as the sacral chakra and it’s associated with your sexual organs.

The color of this chakra is orange, so if you find yourself drawn to a piece of orange-colored crystal, then you might want to consider that it could be working with your sacral chakra.

Issues in this area may include:

  • Low self-esteem
  • Lack of creativity or drive
  • Fear of intimacy (being open and honest)

Third Chakra (Solar Plexus Chakra)

The third chakra, also known as Manipura, is located in the abdomen, in the area of the navel. Its associated color is yellow and its element is fire. The third chakra rules our sense of sight; it increases mental clarity and sharpness, making it easier to think clearly and make decisions.

Manipura is associated with digestion and metabolism. It’s where we process food so we can turn it into energy.

It deals with our ability to digest information from others (if they’re being truthful!) as well as information from ourselves, the kind that helps us grow spiritually or emotionally. When this chakra is out of balance or blocked, you might feel anxious or depressed without knowing why; you might start taking on too much responsibility for others’ feelings or actions; maybe you struggle with addictions like sugar cravings or alcohol addiction?

If you want to keep your third chakra balanced but don’t know how yet (or if there are times when it feels out-of-whack), crystals like rose quartz and garnet both promote good health in this area by helping reduce stress levels and bringing joy back into our lives!

Fourth Chakra (Heart Chakra)

The fourth chakra is the heart chakra, located in the middle of your chest. The name “heart” is a good description of its energy: it represents love, compassion, and empathy.

This chakra has to do with not only giving love but also being able to receive it as well—it’s important for you to be able to recognize that others care about you before they can care about themselves.

When this chakra is imbalanced or blocked (you might notice that you get easily frustrated or impatient), there may be some issues with feeling loved or appreciated by others.

You might have trouble accepting compliments because deep down inside you don’t think anyone cares about what you have to say anyway; people might not let themselves get close enough because they’re afraid they’ll get hurt again; those who are trying their hardest just aren’t getting noticed by anyone else…the list goes on and on!

Fifth Chakra (Throat Chakra)

The fifth chakra is the Throat Chakra. It is located in the center of your throat, and it’s associated with your voice, communication and truth.

The color for this chakra is blue and you may have noticed that many of the crystals associated with it are shades of blue as well!

The Throat Chakra has something to do with self-expression, so keep that in mind when choosing which crystals to work with on an energetic level.

You can use them when you want to communicate more confidently or just need some inspiration for speaking up about something that’s been on your mind lately.

Sixth Chakra (Third Eye Chakra)

The sixth chakra, or third eye chakra, is located in the center of the forehead between your eyebrows. It’s associated with psychic abilities and visions.

The sixth chakra also corresponds to the pineal gland, which produces melatonin (a hormone that regulates sleep).

Seventh Chakra (Crown Chakra)

The seventh chakra is located at the top of your head and is associated with spirituality, higher consciousness, and wisdom. It has a lot to do with your connection to the divine and your mental health.

When this chakra is open, you will feel like you have purpose in life and understand who you are as a person. You can also connect to spirits that aren’t human or animal-like (if you believe in them).

The pineal gland produces melatonin which regulates sleep cycles; when it isn’t working properly, we may experience insomnia or other sleeping disorders like sleepwalking or night terrors which might make us feel disoriented during waking hours too!

The pituitary gland regulates hormones in the body including growth hormone that affects how long we live (the older we get without proper care from doctors/family members who take good care of themselves then die suddenly due to lack of exercise/healthy diet).

Take The Time To Nurture Your Mind, Body And Spirit

It is important to find time to relax. This can be a difficult task for many people, but taking the time to nurture your mind, body and spirit is vital for maintaining good health. Here are some ways you can do this:

  • Take a bath with essential oils added to the water. You can get creative with what types of oils you use, or just add some lavender oil because it smells nice!
  • Sit outside in nature if weather permits; take in the fresh air and let go of any worries or stressors that may be weighing on your mind at that moment. If possible try meditating while outdoors as well!
  • Get a massage/reiki/crystal healing session (you will learn more about these later)

Conclusion

Chakra balancing is a great way to feel better and more energized. Crystals are the perfect tool for this because they connect us with our inner selves and help us stay balanced on all levels.

They also come in many different colors, shapes, sizes and types which makes them easy to find one that works best for you!
